Back It shouldn't crash but I've always had problems running system commands in windows. Are you sure it doesn't need the full path to notepad. Have you tried system( "cmd /c Notepad" ).
Try and avoid using drive mappings.

Hello list,
I've got a machine here running WinXP pro SP2. XSI 4.2 crashes when I execute the "system" command as in:
'VBS example system "notepad.exe DriveLetter:\Filename.txt"
No firewall BTW. Any ideas why?
