well, the only error (here) is that the link was not created in the 'run
level' directory.
you can easily create your own symbolic links. check the man pages:
man ln
I don't have unix here in front of me, but I think it's
ln -s where_you_want_the_link_to_end_up where-the-file_is_now
or maybe I have that backwards.....
You could also start the license server manually to test if that's the
only problem
/etc/init.d/spm start
I believe...
