Cool! Getting there. I got the active camera from a viewport which is part of the puzzle. The other is getting the current viewport (the one under the mouse) such as the CaptureViewport, ToggleMuteSolo and CameraReset do behind the scenes.
If I use View.GetAttributeValue('activecamera') instead of View.GetAttributeValue('activecamera:[a|b|c|d]') I always get &Top
