Fog Plus Volumetrics...? 2004-02-19 - By Thomas Moffat Grimes
Back Hi Kris,
It isn't possible to have more than 1 Foreground shader at once, so you can't have Fog and Volumetrics working at the same time. Using Advanced Volumetrics in tS6.6, it is often possible to achieve something like the effects of both from the Advanced Volumtrics alone. Another alternative is to use a shader to create the Fog, and that will work along with the Foreground shader for Advanced Volumetrics : http://www.tmgcgart.com/ShaderLab/html/shader_listing_2.htm#Fog

Hi, All,
Is it possible to render tS Volumetrics simultaneously with tS Fog?
I've been trying to simulate some ground fog (actually, over-water mist) but instead of a smooth gradient (i.e. less fog closer and less fog higher), it just looks like a dark "thing".
I'm using tS6.5 right now but I installed 6.6 in a separate directory.
I have not tried using PyroCluster from 6.5 but it's installed in 5.X.
Any suggestions, instructions, plug-ins, etc. would help - Thanks In Advance :) !
