Kim,

I have been lurking of a Notebook forum and the general consensus is that
DELL charge like wounded bulls for memory.  All respondents recommend
purchasing a DELL laptop with the lowest memory possible and source the
memory for other suppliers.

so, dell give 900 UK for 2 Gb of memory for one of their top of the range
laptops, independant suppliers give 280 squids for Kingston memory, same
speed. What's up there? anything to be wary of?
