Amazing Helge!

I was wondering if your new engine, can do hair-to-hair collision?
we are in the middle of a project that involves alot of fur, and the most
noticable problem with
xsi's dynamics, is the lack of hair2hair collision.
when for instance, the character's leg bend, the hair is not squashed in the
compressed areas of the back of the knees,
it goes thorugh each other, and it looks weird...

if you can make this hair to hair collision, you are the king!  :)

cant wait for it to be released...

Oz.

 that's a neat idea.

Each hair has it's own density which is used for avoidance, which is
controllable with a weightmap and along each hair.
This way you can have different hairs collide differently.

indeed... the rigging possibilities are already clogging up my cortex so I
can't get anything done but think about when I can get my hands on this and
play :)

   Amazing stuff Helge.

Question: for collision is there any way to give the curve a thickness
(just for collision, not for drawing the curve or anything).  If so, could the
curve's thickness be controlled by a per CV weight map of sorts so it has
different thickness at different points (smooth interpolation between the
points)?  I'm thinking in terms of using it for simple dynamic elements of a
rig instead of using cloth ribbons.  I'm also thinking in terms of it being
useful for muscle systems with actual collision between simple muscles.

Yes. You can use curves for the simulation and then rig
the hair to follow the curves or create hair from curves.

Wow, Helge - super cool.  Shave/Haircut limitations aside does this
   mean
that you could potentially get around the 14 point limit as well?
