Dell Inspiron or M70

Dell Inspiron or M70

I have had a M70 for a bit now and am extremely happy with it. Graphic
card is fast and very robust with XSI. I have the 1920x1200 screen which
looks great, but if that is too fine pitch they have and option for a
lower res screen. Dell has had several great deals on them too, I got a
free 20inch widescreen LCD but two other XSI users I know got a deal
after me at 30 or 35% off which was crazy. Make sure you look around for
the deals at places like gotapex.com and notebookforums.com .

2 drawbacks that aren't immediately noticible are no firewire and no DVI
out. everythings is available wifi AB+G, bluetooth, lots of USB2 and if
it comes with the docking station (which came free with mine) you have
DVI out on that which is perfect for me as I don't carry my DVI enabled
monitor around with me anyways.

I am not generally a dell fan, but the M70 seems to be built pretty
well. It has pretty much all the bells and whistles as the other 'mobile
workstations' like the sagers and alienware, but is several pounds
lighter which is probably its biggest selling point.
