Hey Bernard,

So, the network thing fries you as well?  I see it with Combustion and
Shake as well.  Major pain.  But, you've never encountered the other
stuff?  What version are you using?  We're running 4.2.2005.0215-QFE8
here at work, and believe me, I am not isolated on thsi front.  I'm
surrounded by guys having the same troubles, whether running NT or XP.
Some of this stuff is understandable, just wondering if there are some
good work arounds.  For isntance, with the animation editor woes;  if I
right click on a paramter and go to it's animation editor, often it
kills the software.   I cant' NOT do this, it's a necessary part of my
work flow.  I suppose I could mark things and open it in a pane, but
hate that clutter.  And, if I try the alternate route of opening up the
dual monitor animation layout, it often will crash then anyway.  As for
copy and paste,  I've had lots of trouble with various iterations of
that;  often cannot copy and paste shaders within the same render tree,
often cannot copy animation from one particle emitter to another, often
cannot copy animation on position or color for the gradient in the
rendertree etc etc etc.  I see it all the time on all sorts of
completely different parts of the program.  Wondering if it's maybe this
version we're running.  Still, it's better than the version of 4.0 we
were running  a year ago which would crash during undo or right mouse
clicks often.  Also, could be something inhouse here, you never know.
Just wondering if others are in the same boat at all.

thanks for the reply,

-M
