Shadow catcher

Shadow catcher

Hi Spencer,

There is a catcher on ShaderLab, which I wrote - it catches reflections too,
and seems to have been popular. People seem to be able to get the results
they want using it - I know I can, which is why I wrote it, back before
there was any catcher shader at all in tS :)

Anyway, check under the TMG CG Art folder in the ShaderLab drop down list of
shaders, and you ought to be able to find Catcher in there. Should work for
what you have in mind, I've used it for that myself. Info page for the
shader is here :

HTH!

Subject: [TSML] Shadow catcher

I think I have asked this before, but was it Shader Lab that has the shadow
catcher shader? I find it very difficult if not impossible to get soft
shadows to render properly with the TS shadow catcher.

I am trying to render a character on a solid white background with no other
perspective cues other than its shadow.

Seems like last time I asked this I was directed to the Shader Lab tools.

Thanks!

Spencer
