Rewire rig to cluster deforms, possible??

Rewire rig to cluster deforms, possible??

Hi,

Just wondering, is there a way to "relink" clusters that were
"orientation-deformed", to a new rig??
I.e. an arm that had a cluster on the elbow area, and was
animated/deformed by a shape deformation by orientation.
If you remove the rig for some reason, or put in a different rig, is
there a way to "rewire" the previous deformations (clustershapes) from
the previous rig so you'll end up with the same deformations? Or do you
have to do this all over again?? How is the stuff linked inside XSI?

This might be all in the manuals, so any links to that would also be
nice. Just thinking out loud on a slow starting Monday morning ;)

cheers,
