importing 3d studio MAX files

I could be wrong but I don't think you can import MAX files outside of
MAX...it's a proprietary format, Even with translation utils like Deep
Exploration you have to have MAX instaled on your system in order for them
to work. I've been wrong before so feel free to prove me otherwise :)
