log file question 2005-04-22 - By Rob Wuijster
Back Hi Raffaele,
As far as I can tell it's the editors I use that don't "get it" untill I convert it from Unicode>ASCII. I'll have a look at superedit. I don't use VS.net, I'll leave that to the rest of the team over here ;)
Cheers,

Hey Rob. I can open it just fine in superedit and VS.net in windows, on linux vim is all I use for these things and it opens the log file just fine.

Hi Luc-Eric,
After testing several text editors, I found out that only Windows's Notepad (figure that...) could open the file in a readable format. All my other texteditors did have to convert from Unicode (Little Endian) to have the text become readable in some sort. Even opening in Notepad and saving to a different textfile will crash my editors when opening the new file. I will send a report to support on this as you suggested. For now I can open them with a workaround though.
Cheers,
