yeah, .. it looks like the applications are getting
old and the big HD push is pretty much over
(after several years of false starts).
Also smaller companies have been aquired  or
gone bankrupt.  Expect the same thing at siggraph.
With regards to SymphonyNitris or Toxik there is no way
it can get the same amount of web/magazine
buzz, since they're unaffordable to prosumers.
These things are sold by handshakes rather than
press releases and buzz.
