Yeah I hear ya.
I'm a big fan of the FXtree. It's a huge waste of
time to have to go outside the package, but sometimes
not being able to use all of the nice AE plugins makes
it impossible not to use it.
At the very least being able to pipe your clips into
the FXtree and adjusting them saves me a lot of time,
and it's great not to have to always rely on a
pre-rendered sequence of files.
