Folks,

Some of you may remember that a matchmover app called Icarus was developed
some time ago. It was free for non-commercial use, and they kindly wrote a
tS-compatible output for us all to use. Then the developers sold the rights
to Pixel Farm, and the entry-level price of their product jumped to 3000
UKP! :(

Still, there's now a new app available that may pull the rug from under
their feet, and those of Boujou, MatchMover, etc....

Have a look at www.ssontech.com

This has just been very favourably reviewed in 3D World magazine. Not
surprising since the price tag is 190 UKP or 349!! There's a demo that I
haven't had time to try yet.

It currently offers output files that are compatible with Inferno, Hash
Animation:Master, 3ds Max, and raw ASCII. The app has a scripting language
that offers the opportunity to create a tS compatible output. So, ladies &
gentlemen, my question is: "Who wants to claim the glory for writing this
little gem?" It's not my forte, unfortunately, but I reckon some of you
would eat this for breakfast.

Hope this is useful information. BTW, I have no connection with the company
whatsoever. I'm ranting because I'm drooling at the thought of this
becoming part of the toolbox. I guess there are a lot of folks who would
love to see this too.

Best regards,
Simes (:-)
