Any chance you or others working with you are doing a lot of merging scenes
into other scenes? If so, merging a scene will dump lots of versions of
cameras, layers, passes, material libraries, etc.

I dug around in the Explorer and found a VERY long list in Layers and
Passes and Materials. I deleted all of these except the tops ones

My question is:
WHY DOES THIS HAPPEN????!!!! Is there a way to prevent XSI from
creating all these materials, layers, passes, so that I don’t have to
keep spending all this time deleting stuff I don’t need and, as far as I
know, never needed to be there in the first place.
Any help with this matter would be appreciated.
