Render Farms

Knowing what kind of budget you have, what farm you’re trying to put
together (units and OS) and how much custom work you can or cannot afford
would help.

There are some SWs out there, like Alfred and Rush, that tend to be top
choices for the largest farms and can be customized heavily, as their focus
is a very strong backend, but they tend to be expensive and hardly make any
sense unless you are ready to spend some time tailoring them to your
exigencies.

On the other front you have Royal render or smedge that are effective and
much cheaper but not as customizable.

And last but not least you have batchserve, which is free for XSI but won’t
cover your needs with other SWs

Hi Guys,

I'm not intending to create a war here, but can you tell me which is for you
the best render farm software...

We are using Max, Maya, XSI, and after effects, and evaluating the
posibility to buy a Digital Fusion also.

Thanks in advanced,

Nacho

PD: Until now I only know deadline renderfarm, and Royal Render.
