negative leg rotation in rig after reloading the scene

Hi,

I reloaded my scene this morning, and found out that the upper
thighbones of the rig are flipped to the inside. Strangely enough the
envelope is OK. The Preferred Rot. Angles are off, but changing them
back to the values they should be doesn't change anything. Changing the
roll will -180 dgr. will obviously not work on the envelope.
I can recall reading on this in here, but cannot seem to find it, and
I'm probably looking in the wrong direction right now... %\

cheers for any quick repsonses,
