try mailing majordomo with 'help' in the text body. There's a way of
including a mail address in the request but I can't offhand remember the
syntax. Help will tell you.

No, not good of an explanation here.

This is the story:

We first subscribed to XSI mailing list as for example my name
takayuki@(protected),

Then the administrator changed our address adding our last name
takayuki.honda@(protected)

without any notification that made us to presubscribed with this new address
which left our old address still active but not in use left subscribed to
the XSI list.

Now we've been trying to unsubscribe my old address as "unsubscribe xsi
takayuki@(protected)"  as an approval comes saying has been forwarded to
the owner of the "xsi" list for approval, but further from that nothing
seems to happen and the old address is still subscribed.

Sorry for this hassle but just wanted to know if there is anyway to
unsubscribe this old address from Majordomo.

Thanks in advance

Takayuki

See bottom of every e-mail on the list:

Unsubscribe? Mail Majordomo@(protected) with the following text in body:

unsubscribe xsi

Hi list,

Sorry for digging up this old topic again...

I have been trying to unsubscribe my previous account
since the time Softimage changed-over to their new list system.
I've tried writing to xsi-approval@(protected),
Majordomo-Owner@(protected), but no response... :-(

I am currently subscribed using my new account.
Our exchange server, (I'm not sure what they do with them)
sends only one mail in case of double-ups so it's
not a big problem just now.
But there are times when the bandwidth is limited
and you will start being conscious about the
amount or size of mail(s) you will be downloading.
(I'm sure there are other people on the list that meet the
same situation, with all that "Please don't put any attachments..." mail :-\
)

Is there any way to unsubscribe my old account
and use ONLY my new account so whenever I want to
unsubscribe to save bandwidth, would be head-ache-free?

Please help.
