Python Version script 2004-02-05 - By Jon Baird
Back I sure don't know of one, but if you look in the trueSpace scripts directory you'll find the documentation and help files for Python. in tsxPython.doc, Caligari refers us to "http://www.python.org/1.5 - The last version of the Python programming language." If you dig around a bit more you'll notice there is a Python Reference Manual there as well which is a reference for version 1.4! What!? That's right 1.4. In March, 2003 when trueSpace 6.5 was released, Python 1.5.2 was over 3 years old and the Python gurues were advising users not to use it for new development. What I'd really like to know is when will the Python implementation in trueSpace be updated or replaced with something new.
Regards
