Troublemaker Studios has a small digital effects group (Troublemaker
Digital) that did the previsualization/concept/animatics for Sin City.
We take the shot to the point where most of the high-level directorial
decisions have been finalized, and it's ready to go to a bigger house to
finish it out..

Yup, our primary 3D app is XSI (a relatively recent change).

By the way - Hybride, CafeFX, The Orphanage - it was a joy to see your
finished shots coming in over the last couple months. I got a chance to
see the film at the crew premiere yesterday afternoon, and people were
completely blown away by your work.

so is Troublemaker studios another one of the studios that got a part
of the story to work on?

if so. Sin City is one big feature for Softimage!

ps i believe CafeFX has some XSI seats too. i only say so cause of
someone working there asking questions on the boards. commenting it
not working 'at work' either.

very cool
