Free Textures on the nVIDIA site ...

Free Textures on the nVIDIA site ...

I found a free collection of high resolution textures available on the
nVIDIA developers site. Although the download is pretty big (110 Megs or
so), they look like they should be handy. The site says, "A collection
of over 200 high-resolution, general-purpose, tiling, production-ready,
real-time texture maps in DDS format. Download them and use them in your
work!" There is a 4 Kb "Usage Agreement" file there, too, so be sure to
download and read it as well. Here's the link:

http://developer.nvidia.com/object/IO_TTVol_01.html

And here's a link to some tools that allow you to open the DDS files in
Photoshop (or GIMP, or any other image utility that supports Adobe
format filters) and then save them in whatever format you prefer:

I just finished downloading them myself, so ... time to start viewing /
converting files. Hope someone finds this useful.

Best Wishes,
Bill
