MentalRay Maya 5 Cant start!! Please help!! 2003-11-28 - By Mauro Sanna

I've had the same problem a month ago, here's how I've solved it:
uninstall Maya, run regedit.exe, start to search every aliaswavefront
and maya entries, delete them all.
Remember to delete every aliaswavefront/maya folders into "my documents"
folder (there are maya prefs there).
Restart your machine.
Install Maya again.
Now everything should be ok.
