Sharing texture nodes between materials

as well, I was a maya user and this seeming lack of functionality used
to drive me nuts.

however I find there are other ways of solving most problems in XSI.
Its often a different mindset.

For example, overrides, and map lookup nodes tend to solve a lot of
problems that I'd solve with interconnected shaders in Maya.

Another useful set of nodes are the share nodes.

But its going to take a little time and experimentation to force
yourself to start thinking "backwards" as it will probably feel like for
a while.  Especially since both shading solutions look and feel similar
on the surface.

I'm a Maya user and used to the sharing capabilities of textures nodes
between materials. I'm wondering how this is done in XSI. Forgive the
beginner question, but I've been using XSI for a very short time.

Thanks in advance!
