DigitalFlux has been hard at work to bring new powerful plugins to the
trueSpace and gameSpace community. One of the projects involves a major
upgrade to the already outstanding trueScape series with the newest
generation: worldScape. As the name implies, it's being designed around
a much larger scale of terrain in mind. The screenshots below are a
taste of the power worldScape is planning to bring to trueSpace...
As you can see in the pics below, you can now load arbitrarily sized
heightfields of *any* size(that one was 3328x2560), and the 400x400 mesh
will reflect the currently displayed area, rather than creating a
400x400 sized terrain tile. You can also scroll through the heighfield
and have it update the mesh to reflect that in realtime! And yes,
terrain tiles will still be supported, so you'll be able to have several
of these to play with at one time =)

There's a LOT more to worldScape than this feature, but those will wait
for later previews, and trust in the fact that huge leaps in power are
being brought to every corner of this plugin!
worldScape has no release date as of yet... so start saving now ;)
