Back You can use the Anim/Sim blend slider to get FK control. Using something between 1 and 0 will give you some of both. One important tip which has been discussed before....make sure to put your curve you are generating your tail from into a model before you create the tail rig. You should do this because creating it from the scene root will put the anim clips the tail needs into a mixer at the scene root. This could be a problem if you want to export your rig to another scene or something.
