This may be a shot in the dark, but something similar happend to me a month or so back.
This may seem simple but check that the machine's time and date settings are correct (including motherboard). If its not XSI gets upset.

Kim - I did the reg clean AFTER my problems, un-installed XSI then ran my reg cleaner, then re-installed - it has not fixed my problem - something else is causing SH%& and Mayhem here!!! I have uninstalled the Audio Card driver, re -installed - even the grahpics card driver - no fix!!!

It'll be the registry cleaner. I've had it happen twice now and it's been brought up a couple of times in the past on this list. I never had to do a rebuild though, just an XSI re-install.

Hi all,
A question on this, as I have had a nother Machine do the same thing to me, after completely rebuilding the other one, which now works!
A question - both of these machines are new machines, similar to others we have, except the sound card, which is a Creative Sound Blaster - anyone had anything like this before - Oh yeah, I have run registry mechanic and after cleaning the reg, it does the same thing - not fixed!!!
Thanks
Sandy
