Back drop the synoptic in favor of a pure HTML implementation, where you'll be able to control exactly what happens and when. This means more work since you'll need to write dynamic html code and or embed javascript in your page to call XSI commands. It makes sense for a large production when you have the time to spend on the infrastructure.
