Keeping guide-hairs style when altering emitter 's polymesh.

Hi All !

I have a polygon mesh with styled hairs. When i try to alter it by
adding/removing vertices i lost my guide-hairs styling.

Are there any ways to 'freeze' guide-hairs styling on existing
vertices ? Or may be other workarounds ?
