real time rendering 2004-02-01 - By Steven Newnham
Back Sorry Shawn, but you are wrong - it is indeed rendered in real time. This is an illustration of the power of programmable vertex and pixel shaders as implemented in more recent graphics adaptors. Note that this isn't rendered in trueSpace - it's a demo application you can download from ATI's website and run on Radeon 9700 or later cards. Nevertheless, it is not stored, pre-rendered images; the graphics adaptor is rendering in real time based on scene geometry, textures, shader code, etc. By default the demo has a predetermined animation path, but you can override that and manually rotate and zoom, all in real time.
