xsi crash just after saving scene, but scene is dodgy afterwards 2005-03-21 - By Rob Wuijster
Back Hi all, My XSI died on me just after saving the scene, and at first glance the scene seemed to be saved fine. But after working in this scene for a couple of hours longer, there seem to be some things gone wrong. When creating passes my materials(library) just dissapeard, so I ended up with shadow materials on all my objects. I tried to merge the scene into a new one, but somehow XSI finds all my models (and all the geo under the modelnode) corrupt, so it will not import anything. I also tried to export my material library, but on import in a new scene I end up with a empty library node. I guess the bug is still there?? My character already contains lots of clusters (animation/linked with deformations etc.), so exporting to .xsi is not an options I guess. I was hoping on exporting everything as a model, export my rig, animation , envelope, materials etc. and create a new scene with these files. So....are there any options left so save this scene, or can I just blow away one day of work here??? Not on support right now, so that's not an option either..... grmbl....nutty accountants....... :-\ cheers, rob wuijster s-5 mutlimedia holland
