I just installed an ATI radeon 9800 video card. It comes with some
impressive demos that show you the power of the card. The web page in
the above link is a bunch of screen captures from one of the demos. This
demo shows off natural lighting and photo realistic REAL TIME rendering.
You can swing the camera around the glass balls in real time. The shader
properties look GREAT.
A scene like this would take 1 - 2 minutes to render in TS 6.6 on my PC
but can be done in REAL TIME on this new card!!
