XSI not starting up

I had a problem like that (with a screwed up Softimage user directory
which caused XSI peak at 100 % cpu at startup and then just stand
there). Happened out of the blue and deleting my Windows userprofile
fixed it.
I still dont know what caused it though.

Hi All,

I know this has been asked many times before, and I ignored it - i have
a machine, recently installed, that suddenly has decided it does not
like to run xsi - anyone got any pointers to stuff that XSI might not
like!!!
