Inspiron 9300: which notebook is at this moment best for XSI 2005-03-16 - By Eric Lampi
Back Well, just to chime in. Some of these workstation laptops can be pretty heavy, so keep in mind that you not only have to lug around the laptop, but sometimes that powersupply can wiegh another 3 Lb or so.
I have a 9.6 Lb laptop, with the cables, extra battery, powersupply etc.. It can add up fast, especially if you have other stuff in your bag. I'm a pretty big guy, and sometimes even I would just like to leave the thing on the sidewalk after carrying it around all day.
A co-woker just got an Acer, it has an Nvidia PCI-Express card in it, and a Sonoma CPU, the power supply is tiny, 17" screen and it's soooo light and thin.. I'm seriously thinking about upgrading.
