Back <snipped> -- ----- >Please, Please Guys don't take this the wrong way. I'm sorry to say this but tS user are the only forum where you have to keep apologizing for a statement that a person >makes. -- ----- That's cuz it's probably the only forum where you don't get kicked out/locked out/barred/dismembered/boiled in oil/burned at the stake/flamed for speaking your mind, and stating unpopular opinions. Unless you do it frequently.
-- ------ >Bottom line tS is tS and Maya is Maya and Softimage is Softimage that is a Fact. -- ------ Truer words were never spoken. And a horse is a horse, of course, of course. Doesn't mean much though...
Ok, I'll go out on a limb now and say what I think lots of us want to say:
End this thread and....

On another note... I'm trying to model a Double Bass (http://images.google.com /images?numP&hl=en&lr=&ie=UTF-8 (See http://UTF-8.ora-code.com)&oe=UTF-8 (See http://UTF-8.ora-code.com)&q=double+bass&sa=N&tab=wi) My question is.... what's the best approach to making the FACE of the bass? I modelled a mean guitar back in the ts3 days, but the front was flat, so that was easy. A bass, however, is curved.. in more ways than one (http://www .netinstruments.com/hima/images/closeup_bass.jpg , http://www.netinstruments.com /hima/images/bass_against_wall.jpg , http://www.netinstruments.com/hima/images /panormo_doublebass.jpg ).
My question is... are NURBS (*shudder*) the right approach here? Or any other suggestions???
Thank you all in advance for your advice.
