AFAIK DeepPaint is no longer really supported.
Anyhow, DeepPaint is more Photoshop like in general layout and feel, which imo is a good thing. Bodypaint is faster though and very customizable (make it feel like whatever app you want), it¹s also far more stable than Deep Paint. Bodypaint also has things like RayBrush, which allows you to paint in a rendered view in realtime for things like bump, reflection etc, and of course better lighting and rather nice inbuilt rendering for previews of your material.
I¹d say Bodypaints projection paint tools are slightly better too, especially in handling painting, smearing, copy/paste across multiple objects and textures. Another factor in there is that Bodypaint has UV editing capabilities built in, you have to purchase DeepUV seperately in order to have that with DeepPaint.
