AFAIK DeepPaint is no longer really supported.

Anyhow, DeepPaint is more Photoshop like in general layout and feel, which
imo is a good thing.  Bodypaint is faster though and very customizable (make
it feel like whatever app you want), it¹s also far more stable than Deep
Paint.  Bodypaint also has things like RayBrush, which allows you to paint
in a rendered view in realtime for things like bump, reflection etc, and of
course better lighting and rather nice inbuilt rendering for previews of
your material.

I¹d say Bodypaints projection paint tools are slightly better too,
especially in handling painting, smearing, copy/paste across multiple
objects and textures.  Another factor in there is that Bodypaint has UV
editing capabilities built in, you have to purchase DeepUV seperately in
order to have that with DeepPaint.
