Good question, from my limited research, the price point will probably
be the same
running in XSI in 32 bits. Some people claims the Opteron runs 2 to 3
time faster
rendering MR in 64 bits. But than one has to purchase MR 64 bit licenses.
What is your experiences with Opterons? We are are using dual Athlons
and they run very hot but I heard the Opterons are much better dealing
with heat.
