Hi RorrKonn -

Yes, there are several methods of SDS that are supported by various
applications.
The reason I mentioned this is because I used to think that there was only one
way
to handle subdivision of surfaces (Catmull-Clark, which most applications that
do
SDS use.)  Because I was interested in adding subdivision of surfaces to
UVMapper
Professional - to better handle dividing the texture map layout as well as the
model -
I found that there are several methods you can use.  I've implemented 3 methods
in the next version of UVMapper Professional - Catmull-Clark, Doo-Sabin and
Loop.

I put together a small diagram of what I'm talking about to illustrate the
differences:
