I expect it is a problem with your video drivers.  Do you have the most
recent XP version installed for you video cards ?  Do you have DirectX
9.0b installed ?

Try bringing up TS in un-accelerated wireframe display mode to see if
this is the problem.

Subject: [TSML] Minor problem with TS 6.6 in XP

I just got a new computer with XP.  I've been using Win 98 SE.  TS 6.6
installed without any problems but when I went to run it it crashed
every time right near the end of it's loading process.  It didn't give
any error messages.  Just the message from XP with no explanation.

I ran it in Win98 compatibility mode and it was fine.  Win2k mode didn't
work.

However, I keep my task bar 2 levels high and locked into position and
the bottom of TS hides behind the taskbar.  I have to hide the taskbar
or have it auto-hide but I find that irritating to have to do every
time.  I use TS in a lot of fairly short sessions while waiting on other
things.  And I don't want to leave the taskbar that way all the time.

I'm not sure if this is related to running in compatibility mode but
that's all I can think of.  Has anyone else experienced this and found a
solution? Also, does anyone know why I have to run in compatibility
mode?

It's XP home edition and I have a 2.7 ghz celeron with 256 meg ram (I'll
get more when I can) and integrated graphics with some kind of intel 3d
accellerator.
