File browse dialogues crash XSI on linux. 2005-02-25 - By Alan Jones

Hi All,
I'm guessing this is a mainwin based issue, but googling hasn't made
me any wiser.
Anything that tries to bring up a file browsing dialogue (like the
file->open one - the project manager works fine). Sends XSI down in a
giant ball of flames.. well actually is just disappears instantly with
no fuss.
Anyone had this before?
