.emdl loading / UNC workgroup plug-in load problem (FYI more or less)

.emdl loading / UNC workgroup plug-in load problem (FYI more or less)

I experienced this problem today where I was loading a model, then
trying to run a Jscript plug-in that was stored in a workgroup. Through
a lot of testing, I was able to reproduce the following:

- Set workgroup to a UNC style shared drive path
- Restart XSI
- Try to run a plug-in script from the shared workgroup. It can find and
run it.
- Load a .emdl (a single cube in this case)
- Try to run a plug-in script from the shared workgroup. It can't find
it and fails (and even gives the path it can't find, even though it
clearly exists). This happens as long as this .emdl model exists within
the scene I have loaded, despite reloading it and making sure it's a
local model.

It turns out, by pointing to a drive letter styled path instead of UNC,
the problem goes away completely. That's dandy for users, but on my
render queue I can't assign drive letters to network paths. Looks like
I'll be writing a little install script. :)

It appears to have crept into 4.2, as it is not a problem in 4.0. I have
a feeling that I'm posting about a completely old news bug, but I
couldn't find anything when I searched XSIbase and the softimage
discussion archive.

Sean
