Rigids rotation inheritance

Rigids rotation inheritance

2005-02-02       - By michael malinowski

Evening All.
straight to the point, i have a cube and a sphere, my cube is an Active
Rigid, my sphere is a Passive Rigid.
I have a hinge constraint between them, then set translate keyframes on my
sphere. All works well, and the Cube reacts accordingly.
Now, the problem. i want to be able to rotate the sphere and have the hinge
react also, but the constraint doesnt seem to inherit rotation. The same
goes for springs and all other rigid constraints. Either i am missing
something obvious, or this is a fundamental flaw.
Even when placing everything except the gravity node into a model and rotate
the model, still no effect, the constraints seem to only be effected by
translation regardless.

Is this a recognised problem or am i just havnig a clueless day?

Kind Regards
Mike.
