i would think in a large shop where you don't want people to screw with
things it would be valuable but for me it really seems to be a pain in
the ass.<br>

Cut the override and change your material stuff then paste it back.
But I have to agree, material locks cost me too many cigarettes than I
care to admit. ;-)

haha, i can imagine. right now i am enjoying the fight with the materal
locks that won't release even when i bounce back to the default pass.
