Material Locks

Material Locks

Well - I understand why they're there, but IMO the extra copies of
materials required for overrides to work should be kept hidden from
the user - they should also update when you alter the original
material. But on that subject we should also have the hierachy for
material decisions exposed - i.e. be able to see through scripting
what materials are applied to any given object - not just the current
one - i.e. for every object you'd see that it has the scene material
applied through inheritance, but the active material is blah which is
inherited/applied locally/whatever.

Cheers,

Alan.
