Volumic Light Clipping

Volumic Light Clipping

2005-01-21       - By Byron Nash

 Back
I've got a scene which has several volumic lights. The volumic lights
render fine when the camera is close to the lights. But when the camera
is very far away, I'm getting some type of depth clipping. It's not like
the effect is getting dimmer as I move the camera away. It's more like
it can only render the volumic effect up to a certain distance away from
the camera. I've tried adjusting the Reflectance and Map Size to no
avail. Anyone have any tips?
