Back I like how you say "Even the really big dogs..." When you're paying $1.5kUS for a program, you'd expect it to. But, I think you'll find most of the people who are right into the high level programs use a professional converter to do the work for them, such as Right Hemisphere's 3D Exploration, or Okino's Polytrans.
I'm not taking away from your original point- TS could be a little more robust in that area, but expecting it to match the big dogs just isn't realistic.
