ProTeam renewals 2003-12-17 - By Roman Ormandy
Back Dave,
We do not have official upgrade prices for 2004 set yet, but I do not expect them to go up by more than $100. Currently the upgrade is $399 and less with a special offer now in place. I am pretty sure that we will deliver the extra value to proTeam subscribers next year, we have pretty big plans for proTeam in 2004.
Remember proTeam is not primarily just about getting trueSpace upgrades but about training and content. As for someone lapsing their current subscription they may not get the same price as the regular members but I am pretty sure we can do better than a full price of new suscription.

Tom,
So what about those people who are renewing their ProTeam subsription from 2003 to 2004, but rather had ProTeam in 2002, let it lapse for a year, and want to pick it up again in 2004. Though this may not count as a renewal (e.g. from one year to the next), the same situation applies in that they are not getting all NEW content and therefore should not be subject to the full $895 price.
Also, if the deadline is 12/17/2003 for "new" subscribers, then a pricing decision on renewals be it from 2003 or previous years should also be made soon.
You've really put us in a pickel with this one.
Thanks, Dave Angelini

Hi Bobby, all,
Well, the renewal prices will be given to people as their membership expires. Those who are already in pT, and who are about to expire in the next 2 months or so, already know, as they've been mailed, and that's pretty much how things will go - as and when membership comes up for expiry, the renewal opportunity will be sent out.
The reason for not giving a price is that renewal prices may not be as static for long periods of time, unlike the first time subscription pricing, so we can't announce a fixed and definite price at present. Sorry the information isn't more concrete right now!

Thanks Tom for helping clear this up. We all are waiting for actual price quote on proTeam renewal.
