Poll: Matador? 2005-01-12 - By Graham D Clark
Back I have used them extensively via scripting as its easier to connect the 3D data values to paint strokes, shapes etc, instead of thru another package, the main advantage to using it instead of other external apps. Scripting the fxtree especailly the new "matador" parts is though klunky and for any future work where I may have to do like this, I would look at other apps to be frank and develop a connection.
The fxtree clipin-out part of it though as an aid to what is missing in the rendertree is Extremely invaluable. Just wish there was more integration with FXtree and MR data, to fullfill what I think is implied in the term "integrated compositor in a 3D app" (to design our own post processing instead of 2D output shaders and be able to tweak the effect in post etc.)
