I need some software advice guys/girl.  I recently upgraded my Mboard, cpu
(Athalon 64 - 3500+), ram and video card and it's very fast for:3D, Pshop, Shake
and all that, but when I edit using Premiere Pro and then convert the avi to
mpeg-2 (See http://peg-2.ora-code.com), I get inconsistent playback results and strange sound artifacts.  I
achieved better video output quality using my old PIII dual-866 (See http://ual-866.ora-code.com) and 3Dlabs
Oxygen GVX1-Pro card.

Has anyone had good results using Premiere Pro? and if not what is a good (pc)
based software to use that will give smoother output results?
Lastly can anyone recommend a 'quality' avi2mpeg2 converter and a good software
burning software(I'm currently using "Ulead DVD MovieFactory")?

I know I don't have an Avid suite but I would like to get as close to an online
editing suite as possible, how can I do this without the Avid Price$??

Karl.
