Hair dynamics problem with 4.2

Hi, I'm having a weird problem with 4.2 hair dynamics. I create some
hair, make it dynamic, apply a force and an obstacle and everything is
ok. The problem is I get no realtime feedback when I modify its
stiffness. I found than disabling/enabling dynamics makes XSI read the
new values, but again I can't modify anything in realtime.
In 4.0 everything runs smooth. Someone knows if this is a bug?
